Extension Cords

To provide a safe environment for library patrons and staff and to prevent a fire and/or a tripping hazard, extension cords may not be placed in the aisles of the library.

Extension cords may be used at carrels and tables located against a wall, if the cord can be safely run from a wall outlet without crossing an aisle. Extension cords must be heavy duty, grounded, and UL approved.
