Programs and Events

The Institute of Bill of Rights Law (IBRL) is proud to host a variety of distinguished events throughout the year. We begin each Fall with a two-day Supreme Court Preview, an event that for the past thirty-six years has brought together Supreme Court advocates, journalists, judges, law professors, and practitioners to review significant cases that have been granted certiorari for the upcoming term of the Supreme Court of the United States. The Preview is nationally recognized for providing insight into the upcoming term and is one of the most well-attended events of its kind.

In conjunction with the Dunn Civil Liberties program, the IBRL proudly hosts distinguished Dunn speakers throughout each academic year. Dunn speakers present lectures at the William & Mary Law School that are free and open to the public and are focused on specialized issues within the field of Constitutional Law.

The Scalia-Ginsburg Collegiality Speaker Series celebrates legal professionals who maintain friendships despite ideological divides. The Series represents IBRL's commitment to ensuring the strength of our democracy and the ideals expressed in the Bill of Rights.
