Alex Pinkleton

About

Alex Pinkleton was born and raised in Virginia. She received her B.A. from The University of Virginia as a Foreign Affairs and Spanish double major. During undergrad, she was a summer intern with the Legal Aid Justice Center in the Immigration Division and was heavily involved with sexual assault prevention and bystander intervention advocacy. After graduating, she interned with a Circuit Court Judge.

Alex will spend the summer working for People Against Suffering, Oppression and Poverty (PASSOP), a human rights organization in Cape Town, South Africa. PASSOP fights for the rights of asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants. It also spearheads community building projects related to LGBTI advocacy and women's rights.
