About

Allison Eastham was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN, and obtained degrees in Biology and Legal Studies, with an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate and a Certificate of Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. Allison spent her college career working in her university's Marketing & Communications Office and working in IT for the Minnesota Department of Human Services. At William & Mary, she is the deputy webmaster, member of the marketing team, and an independent researcher for the Center for Legal and Court Technology.

After thirteen years of studying Chinese language, culture, and history, Allison finally has the opportunity to fully immerse herself. This summer, she will be working with Zicheng Public Interest in their Beijing Children's Legal Aid and Research Center, focusing on international children's rights research, and assisting with the organization of their yearly conference on child advocacy. As an intern, Allison looks forward to learning more about the Chinese legal system, as well as how child advocacy laws differ throughout the world.
