Ally Smith
About
Ally Smith decided to attend William & Mary Law School so she could study international human rights law. Ally has a Master’s degree in Human Rights from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, and a Bachelor’s degree from Bard College. Before law school, she worked in the fields of international education and human rights, holding positions at the Institute for International Liberal Education and National Security Archive. Most recently, she spent a year as an AmeriCorps member doing restorative justice work with middle- and high-school students in rural New York, where she is from. During her first year at law school, she was involved in the American Constitution Society, Election Law Society, and Comparative Jurist blog. Ally hopes to practice law in the field of international human rights following law school, while continuing to contribute to her home community.
