Lily Cusack

Lily Cusack is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from University of Missouri in 2018 with a degree in International Convergence Journalism and a minor in French. During her time at Mizzou, she was a reporter for NPR and NBC affiliates; wrote for newspapers in Missouri, Illinois, and Maine, and was a social media manager for the United Methodist Church and Let It Be Us, a non-profit to help children in foster care. During her senior year, she was a junior correspondent at Reuters News in Brussels, Belgium, reporting on the European Union and politic al news in Brussels. She decided to attend law school to pursue a career in international law to help citizens and governments in post-conflict countries.
Lily will be working at International Bridges to Justice in Kigali, Rwanda. She will be conducting research and attending conferences in support of IBJ's mission in Rwanda to guarantee legal representation to the country's most vulnerable citizens and raise awareness for comprehensive legal reform. She will be helping the office ot ensure that political leaders and ordinary citizens alike have the necessary tools and knowledge to provide basice due process rights for everyone.
