About

Yasmine Palmer is a Chicagoan by birth, a Virginian by residence, and a Sierra Leonean by blood. She's already a member of the Green & Gold family, having received her undergraduate degree in International Relations from William & Mary in 2018. Since moving down the road from the main campus, Yasmine has been involved in areas all over the law school, including the Black Law Student Association, the Student Bar Association, and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Team. She is interested in pursuing a career in international criminal justice or international human rights law when she graduates in 2021. When Yasmine isn't running to a meeting or briefing for class, she likes to read mystery novels and try out new recipes.

Yasmine will be spending this summer interning in the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals' Office of the Prosecutor, located in The Hague. She will be contributing to the work of the Prosecutor's Appeals Division by conducting factual and legal research on issues of international humanitarian law and comparative criminal law.
