Externships: Grades, Exams, Credits

How are externships graded?

Pass or Fail.

How many hours must I extern to earn credit?

Each hour of academic credit requires 40 externship hours.

How many externship credits may I earn for each type of externship? Is there a limit on the total externship credits I may earn in a single semester or during my law school studies?

You may earn 1, 2, 3, or 4 credits per externship. Subject to the Law School policy on pass/fail credits, there is no limit on the number of externship credits you may earn. 

May I enroll for more than one type of externship per semester?

Yes.
