Class of 2027
We welcomed the 160 members of the new 1L class on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Members of the W&M Law Class of 2027 come from 25 states, the District of Columbia, Ethiopia, Ireland, Japan, the United Kingdom, and China; attended 102 different undergraduate institutions, with 10 in Virginia and more than 90 institutions elsewhere; and have a median LSAT of 164 ((75th/25th: 166/159), a median undergraduate GPA of 3.75 (75th/25th: 3.86/3.48) and an average age of 24.

Twenty-three percent of the class identify as minorities, with eight percent identifying as Hispanic/Latino, six percent as Black/African American, four percent as Asian, and five percent as members of two or more minority populations.
Twenty-three percent identify as LGBTQ, and 13 percent are first-generation students. Seven percent hold advanced degrees.
We also welcomed 11 military veterans and active duty service members as members of the Class of 2027. Comprising veterans and members of the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and the Army National Guard, this group of students brings a unique variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills to the Law School.
