Class of 2028

Law Week means welcoming new students, and on Monday, August 18, the William & Mary Law community was proud to welcome the J.D. Class of 2028 to campus.

Members of the class, which number 183, hail from 33 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, China, and Japan.

They have a median LSAT of 166 (75th/25th: 167/161), and class members' LSAT scores ranged from 146-172.

They have a median GPA of 3.82 (75th/25th: 3.94/3.53), and class members' GPAs ranged from 2.42 to 4.16.

Eighty percent of the class is from out of state and class members' ages range from 20 to 40.

Thirty-four percent of the class are students of color.

Nineteen percent identify as LGBTQ+ and 11 percent are first-generation students.

Sixty-five percent have post-graduate work experience and 8 percent hold advanced degrees.

Seven class members are active-duty service members or veterans.

The total number of applicants was 2,176.

The Class of 2028 attended 119 different undergraduate institutions, 14 in Virginia and 105 in other locations.
