Transactional Law Team - Colonial Cup

The William & Mary Colonial Cup offers law students an opportunity to draft and negotiate a business transaction based on real-life examples. Student teams, representing either the buyer or seller, draft a proposed agreement before negotiating the terms with an opposing team.

Each team is guaranteed two rounds of competition. Experienced practitioners and law professors will serve as judges for the Colonial Cup. After the final round, there will be a reception where students will have the opportunity to network with the other teams and judges, and the highest-scoring teams will receive awards for their contracts and negotiations. Registration is by invitation only. If you wish to be considered, please fill out the waitlist form.

Teams wishing to participate in the 2024 Colonial Cup may register through the invitation or may request to participate through the waitlist. Schools can send one team, each of which shall consist of two members. Registration for invited teams closes on November 30, 2023. Waitlist teams will be notified if they have been accepted on or before December 5, 2023.
