Dean Brian Wall rejoined William & Mary Law School in June 2023. He is responsible for all aspects of student affairs & academic support at the Law School, which includes:
- Academic advising;
- Academic support;
- Bar exam preparation;
- Classroom & exam accommodations;
- Flourishing & belonging;
- Advising and support for the Student Bar Association and all student organizations;
- Wellness & counseling.
Representative Professional Activities and Achievements
Dean Wall returned to William & Mary Law School following seven years of service at the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he served as the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and taught Legal Writing, Property, and Wills, Trusts, and Estates. He previously led Boyd Law’s admissions team as Assistant Dean for Admissions & Financial Aid, taught English and Scottish literature at the University of Edinburgh, and served as Assistant Dean for Admissions at William & Mary Law School.
At the conclusion of the 2023-2024 academic year, the graduating Class of 2024 voted Dean Wall as the recipient of the Walter L. Williams, Jr. Memorial Teaching Award, and the student body awarded him the Golden Gavel.
