Research Centers

Led by faculty. Powered by students. Endless opportunities.

The institutes, centers, and programs at the Law School sponsor lectures and conferences on a wide variety of issues.  In addition to their formal presentations, visiting scholars and luminaries usually meet with students in small groups to discuss issues at greater depth in a less formal setting.

Our students are not, however, merely audience members.  They also play a very active role in helping organize and run conferences, working on every facet of the enterprise: selecting topics, inviting speakers, handling logistics, and editing the articles that frequently result from presentations.

The ability of our research centers to enrich students' opportunities is in no way limited to the four walls of the Law School.  They have placed students in summer internships around the world, where students have worked on, among other matters, constitution drafting and peacekeeping projects.
