We can't wait to welcome you back to the Law School for Alumni Weekend, October 23-24, 2026! There are a number of opportunities for you to explore our ever-evolving alma mater, reconnect with the W&M Law School community, and create new memories throughout the weekend.

William & Mary Homecoming: Law School Alumni Weekend and William & Mary Homecoming are coinciding on the same weekend, providing even more events and activities to explore during your time in Williamsburg. Primary Registrant Information

  • Provide name, Law School class year, Law School degree(s) and year(s), other W&M degree(s) & year(s) and/or affiliations (if applicable), contact information, and note any special accommodations needs and/or dietary allergies/restrictions.
  • If you have a guest attending with you, click to add a guest and provide their information.

Sessions

  • Select the events you (and your guests) plan to attend. Once you have made your selections, you will also have the opportunity to make a contribution to the Law School and your reunion class gift.
    • Please note that some events are free of charge, while others include a ticket price.
      • The two ticketed events are:
        • Law School Alumni Weekend Welcome Reception on Friday night at the Law School ($40 for adults, $20 for children)
        • Reunion Class Dinner on Saturday night at Kingsmill Resort ($85 for adults)

Registration Summary

  • Review your registrant information, agenda (events selected in the "Sessions" page), and additional items (including contributions to the Law School Annual Fund).

Payment

  • Final review of admission and additional items, and payment of these items.

Confirmation

  • This page will include your confirmation number (you will also receive this in a corresponding email), along with opportunities to add the event to your calendar, modify your registration, or cancel your registration. 
  • NOTE: 
    • Cancellations may be made prior to October 6 for a full refund, after which no refunds will be made.

    • Online registration closes on Friday, October 16.

    • On-site registration will be available October 23-24 at the Law School (see schedule below for times)

Friday, October 23, 2026

  • 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.: Law School Alumni Weekend Registration  |  W&M Law School - Lobby  |  Cost: Free
    • Alumni Weekend check-in and registration is open for William & Mary Law School alumni and guests. Complimentary coffee and tea will be available.

  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Wolf Law Library Open House & Oral Histories Project Exhibit   |  W&M Law School - Wolf Law Library |  Cost: Free
    • Alumni and guests are invited to explore the library as well as exhibitions in the lobby and Nicholas J. St. George Rare Book Room and the George Wythe Boswell-Caracci Room, which features a recreation of Wythe’s library. Visit the Wolf Law Library’s lobby to see a pop-up exhibit about the Oral Histories Project and learn more about some of our alumni and how their experience at the Law School created a lasting impact. This is a family-friendly event.

  • 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Ethics CLE Class  |  W&M Law School  |  Cost: $25 
    • Join Virginia State Bar's Senior Assistant Bar Counsel, Elizabeth Shoenfeld J.D. '03, for a review of recent developments in attorney ethics, including updates to the Rules of Professional Conduct, new Legal Ethics Opinions, and discussion of disciplinary cases and what we can all learn from them.

      This is a two (2.0) credit hour ethics CLE.

  • 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.: 50th Reunion Celebration Toast: Invitation only  |  W&M Law School – Penny Commons, The Hixon Center  |  Cost: Free with Invitation
    • Members of William & Mary Law School’s Class of 1976 are invited to celebrate their 50th reunion with Dean A. Benjamin Spencer as the Law School toasts your reunion milestone and awards your legacy medallions.

  • 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.: Homecoming Parade & Watch Parties  |  William & Mary Campus - Along Richmond Road  |  Cost: Free 
    • Find the perfect spot along Richmond Road to cheer for the grand marshal, student organizations, alumni groups and special guests in the parade! Come to the Alumni House lawn before the parade to pick up pom-poms.

  • 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.: Law School Alumni Welcome Reception  |  W&M Law School - Lobby & Penny Commons, The Hixon Center |  Cost: $40 adults, $20 children
    • Come back to where it all started and reconnect with your classmates as we kick off Alumni Weekend with a reception at the Law School. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. This is a family-friendly event.

      Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children.

Saturday, October 24, 2026

  • 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.: Law School Alumni Weekend Registration  |  W&M Law School - Lobby  |  Cost: Free
    • Alumni Weekend check-in and registration is open for William & Mary Law School alumni and guests. Complimentary coffee and tea will be available.

  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Wolf Law Library Open House & Oral Histories Project Exhibit  |  W&M Law School - Wolf Law Library |  Cost: Free

    Colonial Williamsburg, and W&M Historic Campus  |  Cost: Free

    • Join William & Mary Law Professor and legal historian Tom McSweeney ’02 as he takes you on a popular walking tour about Law School history from the 18th century to today. The tour will begin and end at William & Mary Law School and take you into parts of Colonial Williamsburg and the Historic Campus at William & Mary. This is a family-friendly event.

    • Please note that this tour involves approximately two and a half miles of walking.
  • 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Briefs & Brews: A Networking Event for Alumni and Students  |  W&M Law School – Lobby  |  Cost: Free 
    • Gather with fellow alumni and current student leaders over coffee and breakfast pastries for meaningful conversation, shared experiences, and the opportunity to build relationships that extend far beyond Alumni Weekend.

  • 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Law School Reunion Committee & Dean’s Council Appreciation Brunch: Invitation only  |  W&M Law School –Penny Commons, The Hixon Center  | Cost: Free with Invitation 
    • In appreciation for their support and dedication, William & Mary Law School Reunion Committee and Dean’s Council members are invited to a toast in their honor with Dean A. Benjamin Spencer. In addition, from 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., guests will receive an exclusive State of the Law School address and Q&A with Dean Spencer. Brunch cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

    • Receive an invitation by joining the Dean’s Council by October 16. For more information, contact the Law School Advancement Office.

  • 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.: Reconnect, Reminisce, & Explore: Alumni Weekend Open House  |  W&M Law School – Lobby, Wolf Law Library, & Penny Commons, The Hixon Center  |  Cost: Free 
    • Join your classmates in gathering back at the Law School to reconnect, reminisce, and explore!

      Participate in classroom sessions led by our renowned faculty, meet with current students as you browse Law School merchandise at the Public Service Fund’s pop-up shop, take photos at our photobooth, play yard games on the front lawn and enjoy catching up with classmates while roaming the halls.

      Law School favorite food truck, Don Chido, will be onsite, and complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea will be available in the Lobby.

      This is a family-friendly event.

  • 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.: The Future is Now! McGlothlin Courtroom Tour with Fred Lederer | W&M Law School - McGlothlin Courtroom  |  Cost: Free 
    • Experience the future of justice at the McGlothlin Courtroom, hosted by the Center for Legal & Court Technology. Step inside the world’s most technologically advanced courtroom to see a live demonstration of cutting-edge courtroom technology in action, ask questions, and explore how innovation is transforming the legal process. This is a family-friendly event.

  • 1:15 - 2:00 p.m.: Classroom Sessions: AI Revolution & American Revolution: The Next 250 with Margaret Hu  W&M Law School – Classroom 119  |  Cost: Free 
    • This year marks the nation’s 250th birthday. Professor Margaret Hu, Davison M. Douglas Professor of Law and Director of the Digital Democracy Lab at William & Mary Law School, will explore how the American Revolution and the AI Revolution may run in parallel with one another. The talk will explore how law, lawyers, and legal education can help to secure the conditions of success for another 250 years. This is a family-friendly event.

  • 2:15 - 3:00 p.m.: Classroom Sessions: AI & The Law with Professor Laura Killinger  W&M Law School – Classroom 119  |  Cost: Free 
    • Explore the future of legal research in this interactive AI & the Law demo session, hosted by Laura Killinger, director of the Legal Practice Program and clinical professor of legal writing. Discover how tools like ChatGPT and other AI technologies can enhance your legal analysis, streamline research, and support deeper scholarly work, plus William & Mary Law School is preparing students to enter the workforce with knowledge on ethically utilizing these platforms.

  • 3:00 - 6:30 p.m.: Homecoming Football Game: Tribe vs. Georgetown Hoyas  |  William & Mary - Zable Stadium  |  Cost: $15-$30
  • 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.: Law School Reunion Class Dinner  |  Kingsmill Resort - James River Ballroom |  Cost: $85
    • Members of the Law School classes of 1s and 6s — join your classmates and William & Mary Law School faculty and staff as we celebrate your reunion milestones together.

      The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Come dressed in your green and gold or business casual attire.

      The Reunion Class Dinner will be held at the Kingsmill Resort (1010 Kingsmill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185).

      Tickets are $85.

      When registering for the dinner, please select which meal you'd like for dinner. All meals will be served with a baby green salad and dessert. Please share any dietary allergies/restrictions on the personal information page.

      Meal Options:

      • Corn Flake Crusted Chesapeake Crab Cakes, served in a Pommery mustard cream and crispy leek confetti
      • Free Range Chicken Breast, served in a thyme and lemon vin blanc
      • Vegetarian Creation: Roasted Stuffed Pepper, served with Chef’s Quinoa
