Food & Drinks

Subject to the exceptions listed below:

  • Hot and cold drinks that have a lid or a cap are permitted in the library.
  • No food is permitted in the library except in the ground floor kitchen area. 

Exceptions:

  • No beverages are permitted in the Rare Book Room and the George Wythe Room.

  • Food may be permitted in the library for catered events that have been approved by the library administration.

Drinks are allowed at W&M-provided computer stations, but anyone responsible for damaging computer equipment is liable for repair or replacement costs.

Please do not leave trash on tables or carrels. Trash cans and recycling bins are provided throughout the library.

Please take care of small spills immediately, and report larger ones to library staff right away so the spills can be cleaned up.
