William and Mary Law School

Our Town - the 'Burg!

Leave your fife and three-cornered hat at home. Williamsburg is a true college town.

Williamsburg is one of those rare American cities with an authentic sense of place. But, while it trumpets its roots in American history, it also can boast of a lively college scene; a perfect fit for the law school lifestyle.

When it's time to study, escape the library and settle down in the corner of a cozy coffee shop. When it's time to relax, meet your friends for Thai food and trivia night, head to the Kimball Theatre for concerts and independent film festivals, catch live music at Aroma's, or cruise in a kayak along the James River.

The William & Mary campus is right in the middle of downtown Williamsburg, so you’re always within walking or biking distance of great restaurants, nightlife and shopping. And students ride free on Williamsburg Area Transit (WAT) buses, so it's a quick trip to movie theaters, new shopping centers and local attractions like Busch Gardens.
