Law School Enjoys Record-Breaking Private Giving

Despite the nation's economic difficulties, Marshall-Wythe's alumni and friends supported the school in record-breaking numbers during the fiscal year that ended June 30.  Total giving to the Law School came to $3,340,067 - a new record.  Click here for story.

Beijing Conference to Explore Property Rights on a Global Scale

On Oct. 14-15, the Law School's Property Rights Project will host Marshall-Wythe's first international conference at Tsinghua University in Beijing.  Click here for story.


 Professor Combs

Professor Nancy Combs Becomes Vice Dean

Professor Combs, a noted expert on international law and human rights, became the Law School's new vice dean in August. She is the author of numerous scholarly publications, including Fact-Finding without Facts: The Uncertain Evidentiary Foundations of International Criminal Convictions (Cambridge University Press 2010). Click here for story.

Frantz '70, J.D. '73, LL.M. '81 Appointed to W&M Board of Visitors

Alumnus Thomas R. Frantz, chief executive officer of Williams Mullen, recently was appointed to the College's Board of Visitors by Gov. Bob McDonnell. Frantz was the recipient of the Law School Association's 2009 Citizen-Lawyer Award.  Click here for story.
