Catherine Stahl, Director of LL.M. Programs 
Professor of the Practice of Law

Professor Catherine Stahl joined William & Mary Law School in October 2022, as a Professor of the Practice of Law and Director of LLM Programs.

Professor Stahl began her legal career as an associate at Dechert LLP and then became partner in the litigation group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.  She has litigated matters in both trial and appellate proceedings in more than two-dozen state and federal jurisdictions and has represented clients on a global scale, traveling to every continent except Antarctica.  Professor Stahl previously taught at University of Illinois College of Law and George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School.  Learn more about Professor Stahl's experience here.

Brenda Stone, Assistant Director of International Programs

Brenda Stone has been providing student services to Master of Laws (LL.M.) students and visiting law scholars since 2016.  She manages program information to support prospective student application, and to mentor admitted students and scholars during their transition to the U.S. and law school.  As a former Director of Student Affairs for a large university, she possesses extensive experience in academic advising, community programming, and housing management.  Having lived abroad for several years, she recognizes and relates to challenges associated with living in a foreign non-English speaking country.
