Professor Lan Cao left war-torn Vietnam as a child and forged a new life as an immigrant. Today, she is one of the nation’s most influential scholars of international economic development and business transactions. Click here for story.

Professor Charles H. Koch, Jr., examined the evolution of the European Union in the 2009 St. George Tucker Lecture. The annual lecture recognizes the scholarly achievements of a senior member of the faculty. Click here for story.

Professor and Associate Dean Ronald Rosenberg has been named Chancellor Professor of Law. The Chancellor Professorship recognizes outstanding contributions of William & Mary faculty. He is the third Chancellor Professor at the Law School, joining Professor Lynda Butler and Professor Fredric Lederer. Click here for story.

Program and Student News

The McGlothlin Courtroom was reborn this summer following a major renovation coordinated by the Center for Legal and Court Technology. The goal was to improve upon what was already the most technologically advanced trial and appellate courtroom in the world. Click here for story.

The Office of Admission’s new suite offers a welcoming space for visitors and much-needed elbow room for staff to handle the approximately 5,000 applications the Law School receives each year. Click here for story.

Loan Repayment Assistance Program Applications, Deadline – Jan. 14.
The Law School’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) assists graduates, beginning with the Class of 2004, who work for government agencies or 501(c)(3) organizations. The 2010 LRAP application is available by clicking on the link above which also includes information about loan repayment options in addition to the Law School’s.  Deadline for receipt of applications is January 14, 2010. Assistance is in the form of annual interest-bearing loans, which are forgiven if the recipient satisfies all program requirements and remains in qualifying employment. Funding is provided on a calendar-year basis, with disbursement in February.
