	Justice O'Connor Urges Graduates to Be "Bridge Builders" Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor urged 2010 graduates to make a commitment to “being bridge builders” during her remarks at the Law School’s May 16 graduation ceremony. 	Law School Honors Justice O'Connor with Marshall-Wythe Medallion Justice O'Connor received the 2009-10 Marshall-Wythe Medallion at a dinner in her honor held during graduation weekend. The medallion is the highest honor conferred by the law faculty and recognizes members of the legal community who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and accomplishment. Click here for story.

	Awards Ceremony Celebrates Class of 2010's Contributions On May 15, the Law School community gathered in Colonial Willamsburg's Kimball Theatre with soon-to-be graduates, their families and friends to celebrate the Class of 2010's achievements. 	Summer Public Service Fellowship Program Sets New Records The Law School awarded $300,000 in Summer Public Service Fellowships to 109 rising second and third-year students. This is the most money ever awarded and the largest number of students to receive summer fellowships in the program's history. Since 2003, more than 700 law students have received fellowships through the program to support their public service endeavors in more than 20 countries. Click here for story.

	"WarriorConnect" Helps Veterans More than 50 representatives from organizations that aid veterans came together for "WarriorConnect" on May 22, a free event for veterans and their families sponsored by the Law School's Veterans Benefits Clinic and the Department of Veterans Services-Virginia Wounded Warrior Program, and made possible by generous support from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund. 	Professors Meese and Stafford Team Up to Teach Law and Economics Courses Alan Meese, Ball Professor of Law, and Sarah Stafford, the Paul Verkuil Associate Professor of Public Policy, recently teamed up to teach two classes in an interdisciplinary experiment involving the Law School and the College of William & Mary’s Economics Department. Legal Skills Program Seeks Instructors The Law School is seeking 5 - 8 Part-Time Instructors for its Legal Skills Program for the August 2010 – April 2011 academic year. The position requires a J.D. and at least four years of legal practice experience, with a preference given to those applicants who have extensive legal writing experience. To apply, email a message of interest to [[w\|perobe]] and include a resume and a writing sample. Please put “SKILLS APPLICATION” in the subject line and submit materials no later than June 8, 2010.
