Law School Moves Up in Rankings In U.S. News & World Report’s most recent survey of the nation’s top graduate and professional schools, the Law School ranked 27th, up one spot from last year, and tied with Boston College and Iowa. Marshall-Wythe also had good news in admissions, receiving nearly 6,000 applications for the J.D. Class of 2014, which is the second largest applicant pool in our history. Click here for story. |

Moot Court Team to Travel to The Hague in April for the ICC Competition Christopher Bettis '11, Margaret Brunner '11, and Laura Brymer '12 will travel to The Hague on April 10-15 to compete as a team in the finals of the fourth annual International Criminal Court Trial Competition. Honors: Former Deputy Attorney General James B. Comey, Jr., and Kenneth Feinberg, former Special Master of Sept. 11 Victim Compensation Fund Mr. Comey, a 1982 graduate of the College, was honored as the Carter O. Two W&M Teams Win Top Prizes in First Virginia Redistricting Competition A team from the Law School and a team from the College’s government department won top prizes in three categories in the first Virginia Redistricting Competition. The competition, sponsored by Christopher Newport University’s Wason Center for Public Policy and the Public Mapping Project, challenged participants to design alternatives to gerrymandered political districts in the state.
